Charting Our Path to a
Resilient Tomorrow

At Estithmar Holding, our sustainability roadmap is an active, evolving commitment rather than a static plan.
It reflects who we are today and who we aspire to become as we continue advancing in healthcare, services, contracting, industries, and destination management.

Six Pillars. One Direction.

These strategic priorities form the backbone of our sustainability transformation over the next three years. They reflect the realities of our businesses, the expectations of our regulators and investors, and our responsibility to stakeholders.

Why this matters to us
As a Qatari organisation, supporting national workforce development is essential to long-term sustainability, cultural identity, and alignment with national priorities.
How we address and manage this
We recruit Qatari nationals across clusters and support development through internships, training, mentoring, and leadership programmes. Partnerships with academic institutions and annual KPI tracking help strengthen local talent pipelines and build future leadership capacity.

These topics strengthen our competitiveness and help us stand out as a responsible and forward-looking organisation.

Board Governance & Transparency
Strong governance supports the credibility of our operations and decision-making processes. We maintain a clear governance framework with defined roles, structured oversight, transparent disclosures, and proactive risk management. Our commitment to timely reporting, ethical conduct, and Board-level accountability strengthens trust across our stakeholder ecosystem.

We maintain clear policies aligned with national laws and international expectations, ensuring fair working conditions, non-discrimination, grievance mechanisms, and responsible labour practices across the supply chain.
Supply Chain Management
Given the scale of our procurement and international partnerships, we work closely with suppliers to ensure ethical, quality-driven, and compliant operations. Supplier assessments, contract controls, and performance reviews help manage risks and reinforce responsible sourcing.
Local Procurement
We actively support Qatar's economic development by prioritising local suppliers where feasible. This strengthens national industry, reduces lead times, and contributes to local value creation while maintaining high standards of quality and compliance.

These emerging topics help us stay alert, compliant, and responsive to evolving expectations.

Labour Laws
Compliance with Qatar Labour Law and international requirements. Fair treatment, proper documentation, ethical recruitment, and worker welfare.
Business Ethics
Ethical conduct guides how we engage with partners, clients, regulators, and communities. Adherence to our Code of Conduct in rapidly evolving markets.
Diversity, Equity and Inclusion
We value diversity as a source of innovation and organisational strength. We track representation and promote inclusive practices in hiring and career progression.

Conserving in a Water-Stressed Environment

Water scarcity is a regional concern, and we recognise the importance of careful water management across our operations. Our healthcare facilities, hospitality properties, catering operations and industrial sites rely on water for essential services, hygiene, food preparation, landscaping and cooling. In a water-stressed environment such as Qatar, efficient water use is an important operational and environmental consideration.

Low-flow fixtures and sensor-based taps
Regular monitoring of water use intensity
Leak detection and maintenance programs
Efficient irrigation techniques and landscaping practices
Staff awareness programs on responsible water use

From Compliance to Circularity

Our operations generate multiple types of waste, including medical waste, food waste, construction waste and general operational waste. Effective waste management is critical for regulatory compliance, public health, and environmental protection.

In healthcare, we segregate waste at source, store it safely and partner with approved entities for treatment and disposal. In hospitality and catering operations, we focus on reducing food waste through menu planning, portion management and improved storage processes. Construction and industrial sites follow strict procedures for hazardous and non-hazardous waste, material reuse and recycling.

We continue to expand recycling initiatives and explore opportunities to adopt circular principles where feasible, including reusing materials, reducing packaging and partnering with suppliers who share our sustainability goals.

Compliance with environmental laws and regulations is a fundamental requirement.
