Dr. Youssef Al Habbal

Chief Operating Officer - Elegancia Catering

Youssef El Habbal is a seasoned executive with over 30 years of experience in the Food and Beverage, Hospitality, and Catering industries. He leads large-scale catering operations across Qatar, driving operational excellence and delivering premium services to diverse clients, focusing on the company’s strategic direction and expanding the operations into KSA, Iraq, Kazakhstan, and Libya.

Prior to joining Elegancia, Youssef held key leadership roles such as CEO at Serenity Hospitality LLC in UAE and CEO at Al Mathaaq in KSA, where he developed innovative restaurant concepts and versatile catering services. His expertise spans business planning, operations management, and hospitality innovation in the MENA region and served as a consultant and board advisor for leading companies such as Sofil Catering and Le Notre “Qatar”.

In addition to his professional career, he served as a lecturer at the American University of Beirut and assistant professor at the American University of Science and Technology where he contributed to teaching and curriculum development bridging theory into practice in the fields of hospitality and food technology.

Youssef is a Fellow of the Institute of Hospitality;  he holds a Master’s degree in Food Technology from the American University of Beirut and a Bachelor’s in Food science and Nutrition from the same institution. He further advanced his academic credentials with an MPhil in International Business from the International School of Management (ISM) in Paris and a Doctorate of Business Administration from St. John's University-ISM in New York.
