Group Risk and Internal Audit Director
Muhammad Shahid Razzaq is a seasoned executive with over 20 years of global experience in Internal Audit, Risk Management, and Finance, having worked across the GCC, Australia, and Pakistan. His extensive expertise includes corporate governance, risk transformation, regulatory compliance, enterprise assurance, as well as finance, accounting, and treasury leadership.
Shahid joined Estithmar Holding in September 2024 and is currently leading the Audit, Risk, and Compliance function. In this role, he directly reports to the Audit & Risk Committee, providing independent assurance to the Board of Directors regarding governance, risk management, and internal controls. He is a key driver in promoting a risk-aware culture, ensuring regulatory alignment, and fostering operational excellence across various sectors.
Before joining Estithmar Holding, Shahid held senior roles across a range of industries including banking, real estate, construction, hospitality, healthcare, shipbuilding, financial advisory, IT, and management consulting. His leadership experience spans notable organizations such as Westpac Bank, ARJ Holding, Abu Dhabi Shipbuilding, KPMG, and BDO. He is highly skilled in establishing and developing functions from the ground up, driving enterprise-wide governance across internal audit, risk management, compliance, finance, treasury, project management, and supply chain.
