Kobus Jooste is a dynamic and results driven healthcare executive with over 8 years of leadership experience driving digital transformation, operational excellence, and innovation across healthcare systems in the Middle East and Africa. Currently serving as Chief Operating Officer at APEX Health, Kobus oversees operations across Qatar, Iraq, and Libya, aligning global best practices with local healthcare needs to enhance patient outcomes and service quality.

His expertise spans strategic healthcare leadership, digital health transformation, revenue cycle optimization, performance improvement, and the successful operationalization of new healthcare facilities. Kobus has led large-scale EMR implementations, led the development of physician remuneration models, and spearheaded AI and automation projects that have streamlined operations and improved both clinical and financial outcomes.

Before joining APEX Health, Kobus held senior leadership roles with Mediclinic Middle East, including Deputy Hospital Director and Senior Manager of RCM Systems, where he enhanced hospital operations, strengthened financial governance, and elevated patient experience across multiple facilities in the UAE. His earlier leadership experience in Africa includes managing hospital operations, revenue cycles, quality improvement initiatives, and launching new healthcare facilities.

Kobus holds an MBA from Warwick Business School, a Postgraduate Diploma in Innovation and Design Thinking, and a Bachelor's degree in Economics and International Trade. He has been recognized as a Young Executive Leader by the International Hospital Federation and was inducted into the Golden Key International Honour Society for academic excellence.
